I’m sure Scott Bloom was a delightful guy, but he was not my pal. In fact, this picture captures the entirety of our, uh, relationship.

I’m pretty sure this was taken at one of the parties Debbie Gibson had at Ed Debevic’s. Judging by my hairstyle and fact #16, I place this in late 1988.

You can see by the awkward look on my face that I just wanted to go talk to Debbie, who I had the most epic of crushes on, but got stopped by some photographer for a picture of me yukking it up with my pal.

I remember, after this happened, that I tried not to let photographers shoot me posed with people I didn’t know, because whenever they did, we were suddenly best pals in the world of teen magazines.

…man, my life’s been weird.
